In 1999 Brian Loomis stopped programming CNC mills that machined parts for the twelve inch wafer conversions at Micron Semiconductor and started writing software for businesses. Today he oversees Customated, his consulting and software development company along with a network of decade old contractors and vendors to create and provide bespoke software processes that help companies save money by leveraging open source software.
Brian Loomis has spoken at software conferences in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands. He currently resides in Boise Idaho and attends the local Ruby and Python developer groups and presents frequently at those.
