Chameleon is the HL7 messaging interface.It's able to run on OS X Via Parallels or on Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. Chameleon adapts to handle variations in HL7 messaging that deviates from standards and is able to adapt and transform these vendor specific variants with custom filters. Chameleon also allows the ability to configure transforms between HL7 and XML formats.

Iguana is the HL7 messaging engine that powers the message tranmissions.Even when there are over 100 Message channels at once it can still transmit messages at 2 megabytes per second. It includes a buffering system so that if systems are knocked offline that the messages essentially pick up where they left off and continue to trasmit.
